The Hubby...

I just want to tell everyone how wonderful my husband is!

I have started working out and it would not be possible without my wonderful husband's willingness to take both kiddos for me so that I can do so!

A couple of weeks ago he loaded both kids up and took them to the zoo and McDonalds so that I could clean house without them running around under my feet and having to stop to take care of other things. I cranked up the music and got it done in 1/3 of the time.

Twice this week he has brought little gifts home to me.

And just today he told me that in May we are going to go on a 3 day getaway. We're going to stay in a nice hotel, go to a play, and just have the time to connect with each other! He also said that he is planning to make this a yearly thing. He says every year we will pick a new destination for our little weekend! YAY!!!

I cannot tell you all how I feel right now! Nothing is better than feeling so loved by the hubby! He's the best and I just wanted to share it with you all! Thanks for indulging me!

I love you Nolan!!!

Friend Makin' Mondays...

Welcome To FMM! I love friends and I am so glad you are here to join us!

You can go HERE to learn more about Monday's here at All that is Good and to get the rules!

I think one thing that makes friendship what it is, is how friends share everything! When I was younger I remember sharing clothes, shoes, gossip, food, and of course advice.

So Today We Share!!!

Please share 10 things that you can absolutely not live without and why!

So here I go:

1. Good Hair Spray: I love Shaper Hair Spray. It holds great without being all stiff and rock hard!

2. A good pair of jeans: I love Seven Jeans! They make your butt look great and they feel good. They are kind of pricey, but I say worth it!

3. A new must try is: Mary Kay Mineral Loose Powder Foundation! It makes my skin look so even and smooth! I'm hooked!

4. Mary Kay lip gloss! It stays on great and makes my lips feel nice and smooth!

5. New Balance tenni shoes: Gray, and I don't know their name, but they are comfy and look good with jeans and shorts! Love 'em! And I'm on my second pair.

6. Antiques! I love the way they make things seem homier and add character to a home!

7. Eucerin Lotion: both my kids have really dry skin and though it is a little greasy, it works great on their skin and helps it to look and feel much better!

8. Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam: it gives my limp hair body and style!

9. Best Sweet tea?: Red Diamond Baby! You can't beat it and it tastes better than making it yourself and did I mention you don't have to make it yourself?!

10. Mascara: A good one is your best friend, and bad one can leave you feeling lumpy and stubby! I'm in need of some advice here girlfriends! What's a good one?!

There you have it! My advice on some great stuff that no girl should be without from one friend to another!

If any of you would be willing to host a FMM here on my blog I would love to have you! When you leave your comments just let me know! If you don't want to host your own here but you have a great idea, please let me know! I could use some fresh ideas!

As always thanks for joining! Don't forget to sign in with Mr. Linky so we know where to find you!

Early morning thoughts...

It's Saturday morning and it's really early. The house is really quiet and the rest of the family are snuggled warm in bed. I'm sitting in the dark living room, warm and content. I'm thinking how blessed I am.

The reason I'm up so early? (usually I sleep until the kiddos wake up)

I'm on my way to have breakfast with a friend. She has some big news she wants to share with me. She told me a few weeks ago about this and I have to say I have been racking my brain trying to decide what it is that she might be going to tell me. I even thought about making a list just for fun and telling her my ideas just so we could laugh at how wild my imagination has gotten in a couple of weeks!

Thank you to everyone that commented on my last post. It really means a lot to me that everyone was so supportive of my decision to get some balance and not be so busy with blogging. It will make it much easier knowing that everyone of my blogging buddies is understanding and supportive of the situation! Thanks!

Have a great weekend!

Balance...

This is the deal...

The other day while blogging my son said to me that I am on the computer too much.

My husband made the same statement and so did my mother.

With that said, I have decided I need some balance! It has really been laying heavy on my heart that I feel like I spend more time with my computer than my own children. I don't want them growing up thinking this!

At the same time blogging is the one way that I am able to unwind and be creative so it is for this reason that I do not want to give it up either!

Here is the plan:

I will still be doing Friend Makin' Mondays unless I feel like I need the time for family and then I will let you know ahead of time.

Fashion is my passion on Fridays will now be once or twice a month.

I will only be allowing myself time to comment on other's blogs once a week and I will be trying to do this on Thursdays. I love to comment on your blogs but I just have to be careful or before I know it I'm commenting every second I walk past the computer. I feel like if I just say on Thursday's during nap is my time to do this then I will be doing better (and not feel guilty 24/7).

So please don't be upset if I'm not commenting on every post you put up. Just know that when it is Thursday I will get there and catch up on you...I promise! Know that I love all of you! love your blogs, and love the friendships that I've formed with you! This is the main reason I'm trying to find this balance and not just giving it up!

I will be posting family stuff whenever stuff arises.

Another reason I am cutting back is because I am going to be filling some of the time that I was blogging with a bible study! I'm really excited about it, and I know that if I get my priorities straight and put God #1 then things will be less stressful and fall into place better!

Thanks for listening and understanding!

Friend Makin' Mondays...

Today on FFM I think we should be thankful! I'm thankful for lots of things and am truly blessed and I just want to share some of them w/ all of you, my friends!

If you are wanting to join the fun (which I would love for you too!) you can go HERE to find out what exactly FMM is and to get the rules for each week.

Here are 10 things I'm super thankful for:

1. A God who loves me and continually pores out blessings and love to me even when I don't deserve it and don't give him the honor and glory that he Always deserves!

2. A husband that loves and supports me. He's fun and beautiful and full of life and joy. He keeps me grounded and helps me to see that I have potential beyond what I can see. I love him!

3. 2 beautiful children that make my life fuller through their energy, sweet spirits, and their excitement for life. There is never a dull moment in our home, and I feel so blessed to be called "Mama".

4. The good health of me and my family. I read many blogs of families with children, husbands, other family, or themselves that are sick or worse. I am thankful for how blessed we are in this, our health.

5. Wonderful parents that even now in my adulthood still take care of me and support me. They are so wonderful!

6. An awesome support system of extended family: my brother and sister, their spouses and children. The hubby's parents and siblings, grandparents! We are blessed on and on!

7. A wonderful home that we are warm and cozy in! I get to decorate it and make it ours.

8. Friends that know me for me and still hang out with me.

9. Time with my family! I can't seem to get enough of it, and I feel so blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and have even more time with my children.

10. Blogging of course! How great it is to be able to have this outlet. It allows me to be creative and to connect with other women who understand and support me.

There you have it! I feel so blessed and am so glad to be able to share with you!

I hope that you all will join in the FMMonday FUN and list 10 things you are thankful for on your own blogs! Let's get to know each other!

Don't forget to sign up with Mr. Linky so we can come and visit you!

Fashion is my Passion on Fridays...

As I'm sure you've figured out - I love fasion: Hair, Makeup, Clothes, Jewelry

I love it all!

It is for this reason and this reason alone that I am able to be pretty brave when it comes to some of my fashion choices.

I mean I have had some pretty crazy hair in my days and when I was growing up my fashion icon was Punky Brewster! I loved her!

However today I went to get my hair cut and I wanted to get it done like this:

but for some reason I was really nervous, which has never occurred to me when getting my hair cut. Maybe it had a little (a lot!) to do with the fact that the hubby wasn't so keen on this idea.

Am I a bad wife?...

because I did it anyway:

I got my hair cut !

Before:

After:
And:

I love it!

On to some other stuff:
This is a look that I really love:

First I love the colors, and I just adore the big chunky necklace with the strapless dress!

The simplicity of the dress just really makes that necklace something to look at! I mean you could never wear a crazy, wild dress with a necklace like that!

and the purse and shoes? - well done! I love it! This could for sure be copied into a much cheaper version for a fun date-night I'm thinkin'!

And here is some really fun stuff:
Earrings!!!

Way cute earrings!!!
Head on over to Hoop-La Jewelry for some of the cutest (and did I mention: handmade?) earrings!

Here is a sample of some of my faves:

And guess what!

She's having a Spring Sale!!!

I know right?!!! So in case you missed it the first time HERE's the link. So head on over and tell her I sent you!

Have a great and Fashionable Friday!!!

Fun at the Park...

We had such a good day yesterday! Hubby and I took the kiddos to the park, and it was such a great time and such a blessing to spend the time together as a family! I am so blessed!

R's favorite part:

Trying to learn how to swing on his own, with Daddy helping him...

K's a monkey-man...

This is about as close as R would get. I tried to dip her feet in and she flipped...

K's favorite part...

We told him to only put his feet in (isn't it pretty at the park?)...

...but by the time he was done he looked like this (we should have known better!):

It was such a great day!

My Reality...

Confession: I am a Dancing with the Stars and Biggest Loser Junkie! I just can't seem to help myself, and now that we have DVR it is out of control I think!

Oh Well!!! I love it!

Did anyone watch DWTStars the last two nights? What did you think? I'm pulling for Julianne Hough and her hottie boyfriend I think. Aren't they just too cute!

I also like the Shawn Johnson and her dance partner, he seems sweet...

Belinda Carlisle got the boot...

But I think it should of been good ole' Steve Wozniak. He should just stick to making computers...

On to...
The blue team just keeps losing! They are down to 3 players now and the black team still has 6!

Cathy had to go last night, but they showed her now and she is working out with her daughters and still going!

However I'm cheering for Mike. He's 18 and just seems to be the nicest guy! He loves his dad, is so kind to others, and just deserves it! I do wish that they could just all stick around and lose the weight, but if I must pick I pick him!...

Go Mike! You can do it!

I figure if these 2 shows are my only vises then I'm doing okay! DWTStars makes me want to put on a skimpy outfit and shake my stuff!

Before we went into the theater I went to the theater I went into the bathroom and found that my monthly friend had come for a visit and left a softball size stain on the back of my skirt! I wanted to die! There is no telling how many people had seen it when we were in line for tickets and walking around! I covered up with my purse and had to go out and tell Nolan that he had to take me home right then! I wanted to die!

You can just copy and paste my questions and answers onto your blog and then erase my answers and fill in your own!

Can't wait to get to know you all better! Happy FMM!!!
