The other morning when I was making Kane's breakfast he asked for some strawberries in his cereal. I had just bought some at the store the day before so I knew that there were some in the fridge. I went to get them and realized that there were only three left in the whole container. I called Kane into the kitchen and asked him if he had eaten some of them. He said "no" at first, but I knew better so I asked again (meaner this time), and he said "yes". Well, this got me to thinking, "If he ate all those strawberries then where are the stems?" (normally when he eats strawberries I have to cut off the end of them first or he will only eat about half of the strawberry and waste the other half). So, I asked him what he did with all of the ends. He then grabbed my hand and said "come on, I'll show you." He pulled me from the kitchen into his bedroom and there in the middle of his bedroom, on the carpet was a pillow. He lifted it up and there laying under it on my cream colored carpet was a pile of 20 half eaten strawberries (I know it was 20 because I counted them).
Apparently, the night before, he was still awake when Nolan and I went to bed, and he decided that he was hungry so, he helped himself to the strawberries. I can tell you, Lesson Learned! From now on, I'll make sure that Kane is completely asleep, and full when I put him to bed!!!

Okay, I know this probably wasn't funny to you, at the time...but it's cracking me up!
Oh no! How funny! And he even tried to "clean up." And I love that the food that he snuck wasn't, oh, dougnuts or Doritos or m & m's (that would be the stuff Owen would go for), but strawberries. Gotta give him some credit for that (-:
