He got this real thoughtful look on his face and said, "Mama, I want to be big and get to make all the rules like you do."
I guess I've never really thought about it, but I guess in the eyes of a 4 year old bossing others around is a perk of being a grown up! I guess I'm lucky and didn't even realize it!

One day he'll see the flip side to that luck.
Some days I'm just so drained from being the primary parent and decision maker. My DH works so many hours that I leave him the good parts, he's their Knight in Shinning Armor!
haha! Funny kid.:) One day he'll understand.
My daugther has used that one before. Her words are usually something like when I'm a mom I won't have any rules. Or I'll be a much nicer mom when I have kids. bwahaha!
Kids are funny!
That is so funny! The things that children think are amazing. Sometimes I would love to be inside their little brains just to see what is going on.

Ahh, that is so cute. I guess we are sort of lucky as adults, but sometimes I want to go back to being a child with no responsibilities. LOL I tell the twins all the time to stay kids and dont grow up too fast.
Lol! But when you're a grown up, it seems like you have even more rules to follow!
I agree with the previous poster, I often wish I could go back in time to when I didn't have any responsibilities. Ah, life was simple then!

LOL. I guess that's a good way to look at it. My little boy used to get all upset because he wasn't the boss...he would seriously have tears streaming down his face sobbing, "BUT Mom, why can't I be the boss?" Kids are so funny.
Hope you have a great day!
My daughter does the same thing. Oy!
That is pretty cute though. :)
That's Funny! I kinda like to make up rules, too! :)
Congrats on your Tip Junkie feature. I'm glad we were able to catch up a little @ church, Sunday night. We missed seeing you and Nolan, during Spring Break.
My 4-year-old said something similar yesterday. She told me she wanted to be the mommy so she could tell me what to do! I told her someday she would be the mommy, but not my mommy!
I am kind of glad that I get to make the rules. That's the cool part about being the grown up. Plus getting to drive. And getting to buy shoes when you want them. And not having a bed time... Yeah, it kind of rocks to be a grown-up!
My daughter always wants to be older than she is. . . sigh!
Oh that is too cute! I love how the kiddos think! If only being the parent were that easy!
Have a great Sunday!
