A Few Projects...

While away on hiatus I was able to get a few projects done.
I wanted to share them...

The curtains I sewed for my kitchen (super basic stuff, but for me this is a huge step!)...

I decided the best thing for the walls in our playroom was some of Kane's own artwork. I found the frames at Michael's...

This is the thing I'm the most proud of. I've never painted anything before, but I went ahead and tried my hand at it anyway. I needed a picture to go above the full sized bed in Ruthie's room. This is what I ended up with. It goes wonderful with the bedding!...

This is the entertainment center that we found on Craig's List...$500! I know we would have paid so much more than that in a store new. I'm not done decorating it, but it was a chore getting it here and putting it up!...

Right now I'm working on completely finishing the playroom and I want to do a redo on my bedroom. So when I get those done I'll let you see what I come up with!

Good job on your projects! Isn't it a nice feeling of satisfaction when you finish a project that you have done yourself?

Ruthie's painting is AWESOME! Fabulous job. My sewing machine is currently taunting me from the corner about my long absence. I'm ignoring it for now. But your curtains are lovely :)

Look at you go! That painting is perfect!

I'm thinking of all the things I could get done if I went on a little hiatus....OK that thought had faded!

Wow! Good work on all of it! I'm sure it's exciting to get all of that up in your home sweet home. You did an incredible job on the painting!

Great projects Kasey! I love your kitchen curtains. And that painting is GREAT! I love framing my kids' artwork. Nothing makes me happier than seeing their art. I have a gallery in my upstairs hallway that I change out all the time. And I bought some suspension curtain rods and hung them in my basement with clips where the kids can clip their drawings up and change it out on their own.

Very cute!

XOXO

Looks like you have been busy. I love the old window in your kitchen. We have a couple scattered throughout the house. But I use them for photos. Also Ruthie's sign looks wonderful. One would never have known you hadn't painted before.
