I don't think we're in Kansas anymore...

On Sundays I always go for my long run. Yesterdays run was supposed to be 9 miles. My hubby who is also training for the same 1/2 marathon as myself runs his long run on Saturdays. So he went on his the day before me and told me about this great 9 mile path he followed. He had measured it and it was perfectly 9 miles. No guessing- No problem. Right?

So yesterday my running buds and myself head out. I tell them we are going to try this great path that my husband did the day before. HA!

I so missed the turn and we ended up out in the middle of stinkin' NO Where!!! When we finally figured out where we were we were almost to the next town over! We ended up running 10 miles and finally had to stop at a house (I knew the people) and the husband gave us a ride to our cars, which we were still about 4-5 miles away from!

I told my man I was no good with directions! Next time maybe he'll believe me!

Ha! At least you ran 10 miles, a whole mile more than the hubby ;) My half-marathon is in March, but the longest I've run so far is 7.7 miles. Got a long way to go!

Funny story Kasey! I am horrible with directions. I finally begged my husband to get me a car with GPS so I wouldn't get lost all of the time!

10 miles is long!

WOW :) Just thinking about that makes me tired! Makes my little 10k seem like a walk. I've started running with the jogging stroller and 50 lbs of toddler - it is kicking my butt. I'm glad you were able to get a ride back!

Bless your heart. Thank goodness for the house at the end of the run. I totally agree with you about directions. I could get lost in Wal-Mart. Glad you made it back home safely.

Great job running, but that's a funny story. My coworker is running a half marathon next weekend!
